On October 24, 2023, students from group 4422 of “General Medicine” faculty along with their group supervisor, Shamshina B.A., held a supervisory hour as part of the “Republic Day” event. The history of this holiday is associated with the adoption of the Declaration of State Sovereignty of the Kazakh SSR on October 25, 1990, within the Soviet Union. This event marked the beginning of Kazakhstan’s official independence in 1991, as it took the first step toward declaring its independence.
During the event, students recalled the history and discussed the journey our ancestors embarked on for so many years to achieve independence, for which we are immensely grateful. Our country has overcome numerous challenges, navigated the transitional period, and implemented complex economic and political reforms since gaining independence. Today, Kazakhstan is recognized by the global community as a market-democratic country, where the unity of its diverse people is well preserved.
