On October 26, 2023, the School of Pharmacy of NJSC “Astana Medical University” hosted an international student Olympiad in educational programs: “Pharmacy”, “Public Health” / “Public Health” within the framework of the International Scientific and Practical Conference “Modern Pharmacy: New Approaches in Education and current research”, dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the State Prize Laureate of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Doctor of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Professor of the Department of Pharmaceutical Disciplines of NJSC “AMU” Arystanova Tanagul Akimbaevna.
Students from medical universities in Astana, Almaty, Karaganda, Southern Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Bashkortostan took part in the Olympiad.
The Olympiad was held in 8 sections: Pharmaceutical chemistry, Pharmacognosy, Drug technology, Toxicological chemistry, Pharmaceutical management and economics, Organic chemistry, Biochemistry, Analytical chemistry.
The competition was held for team (no more than 5 people) and individual participants. The team competition consisted of two stages: 1-Stage: Theoretical – Test tasks; Stage 2 – Practical skills.
From the Department of Biochemistry and Chemical Disciplines of NJSC “MUS”, 4.5 year students of the Faculty of «Pharmacy» took part.
Students from group 402 “Pharmacy” Bakytzharova Nurdana, Sailauova Nazira, Kanagatova Zhansaya, Nurzhan Manat, Toktasynova Moldir in the “Analytical Chemistry” section took part in the team competition from our university and took 2nd place.
The individual competition was also held in 2 stages – theoretical and practical in one of five major subjects at the choice of the Olympiad participant.
The individual competition was attended by: student of group 501 “Pharmacy” Abdulkarimov Ilgam in the section “Drug Technology” and student of group 401 “Pharmacy” Erlanuly Erzhan in the section “Management and Economics of Pharmacy”, who also took 3rd place and 2nd place respectively.
