From 01.11.2023 to 02.11.2023, an event on the topics “Man of Work”, principles of conscientious work, as well as prevention of gambling addiction and ludomania was held in the large conference hall of the NAO “MUS”, organized by the teachers of the Department of OOD Sadykova L.K., Zhakupbekova E.A., together with the university psychologist Nazym Yersenovna.

The purpose of the organized event is to reduce the spread of gambling and computer games among young people.

The following issues were discussed at the event: who is a “Man of Work”, what is honest work and why is gambling addiction or ludomania widespread among young people.

Ludomania, gambling addiction, gambling addiction (English gambling — gambling for money) is a pathological tendency to gambling, consists in frequent repeated episodes of gambling, which dominate a person’s life and lead to a decrease in social, professional, material and family values: such a person does not pay due attention to his duties in these areas.

In recent decades, there has been a massive, unprecedented growth in commercial gambling. Thanks to modern technologies, various virtual games, including gambling, have become more accessible and diverse.
