In 2023, on November 7, a seminar on measles prevention was held for medical workers at the Semey railway clinic. Students of group 5427 of the Faculty of General Medicine, who are currently studying in the discipline “Infectious Diseases in Adults,” highlighted the epidemiological situation of measles in Kazakhstan.
The lecturers specifically focused on the clinical issues of measles and its complications. The algorithm for providing medical care to patients with measles was analyzed separately. Emphasis was placed on early detection of measles among the population, including pregnant women. At the end of the seminar, the speakers recalled that timely and complete vaccination is the basis for ensuring individual and population immunity to measles and other vaccine-preventable diseases.
