In October 2023, the teacher of the department of propedeutics of internal diseases – Rakymgazieva A.S. and students of OM group 3124 in 2 polyclinic of the youth center «Zhas Asyl» held a round table on the theme: «Contraception. Sex education for young people. Prevention of unwanted pregnancy in minors. STIs» addressed issues of sex education of the younger generation, formation of young people’s value to their health. The staff of the youth center – psychologist and gestalt therapist held a discussion on topical issues of STI prevention. Modern medical and sociological research shows that children’s health deteriorates during puberty. In recent years, venereal and gynaecological diseases, disorders of sexual development, and the incidence of cases of asocial sexual behaviour (sexual promiscuity, prostitution, sexual aggression, abortion) have been on the rise among the younger generation. One of the gravest consequences of sexual inactivity is the extremely low contraceptive culture, which leaves induced abortion as the leading method of birth planning and regulation.
