On 16 November 2023, the Moscow Cadet Corps “Boarding School for female students of the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation” hosted the International Scientific and Practical Conference “Education and mentoring in the digital educational environment”.

The purpose of the conference was to comprehend the problems of the influence of the digital world on the formation of personality, to define ethical and moral standards in the issues of students in the digital environment, to discuss the experience of patriotic education of young people in the digital environment.

In the course of the work, the changes taking place in the educational process in the digital environment were analysed, the means of forming digital competences of students and tutors were defined, examples of modelling the educational process in the digital environment of education and upbringing were presented, certain aspects and approaches to the formation of civic identity through digital space were discussed, forms and pedagogical technologies of implementing patriotic education in educational institutions were presented.

At the plenary session with a video report on “Formation of competences of general education of students with the use of digital educational environment (from the experience of the department of general education disciplines NJC”Medical University of Semey”)” was made by Doctor of Political Sciences, head of the department of general education disciplines NJC “SMU” Urankhaeva Gulmira Telmanovna, in which she shared the experience of functioning of digital educational environment at the Medical University of Semey as an effective tool for the formation of competences of general education of students.
