HIV remains one of the main problems of global public health. The epidemic is not on the decline, and every year from HIV/Almost a million people die of AIDS. Since the outbreak of the epidemic, almost 70 million people have been infected with the virus, and about 32 million infected people have died. The first of December is the World AIDS Day, which has been held annually on the initiative of WHO since 1988.
A competition of videos dedicated to the prevention of HIV infection was held in the discipline “Infectious diseases”. The current and curatorial groups of the 5th year of the Faculty of General Medicine participated in the competition”: 5207, 5230, 5311, 5318, 5347. An independent commission consisting of interns of the 6th year GP (621, 619) evaluated the videos, taking into account the content and technical characteristics of the videos. As a result of the voting, the first place was taken by the video of the 5311 group, the second place – 5318, the third place – 5230, 5207, 5347 (a foreign group) received an incentive certificate.
Such events increase students’ awareness of HIV infection, make them study this problem more deeply and carry out preventive work among the population.
