On November 27, 2023, the Department of Psychiatry and Narcology of the Semey Medical University, together with the the “Regional Center for Mental Health” of the region of Abai, held an event on the topic “Prevention of bullying and aggressive behavior of school-age children. Prevention of cyberbullying, cyber hygiene” with the active assistance of the Deputy director of #40″ for educational work T. U. Zharkimbayev.

Participants: students of grades 9,10,11 of school #40.
Bullying is a fairly broad concept that includes different types of violence: physical, emotional, economic, as well as cyberbullying. In response, bullying victims experience problems with socialization, reduced attendance and academic performance, and most importantly, mental health suffers. Therefore, our university annually takes an active part in this event, conducting prevention among students in schools.
The welcoming speech to the students of the school #40 was made by: Head of the Department of Psychiatry and Narcology, PhD, Moldagaliev T.M., assistant of the department Almagambetova A.A., psychologist of the Regional Mental Health Center Semonenko A.V., residents of the 1st year of study -Boyaubaev K.K., Zeynullaev B.B., students of the 5108th group of GM. In their speeches, they highlighted the problem of bullying, as well as its features of harm in society, prevention of conflicts within peers, types of struggle and ways to overcome, gave the concept of cyberbullying. Together with the support of friends and family, this gives a good prognosis for overcoming bullying. At the end, a psychotherapeutic training was conducted, students of the school #40took an active part. Bullying has no place in society and it is important to always find ways out of negative situations. Our friendly country will be built for the youth!
