According to the individual curriculum of residents, on November 23rd, 2023, sanitary and educational work was carried out for the first year residents from the Department of Internal Medicine and Rheumatology of the NSJSC “MUS” branch of Ust-Kamenogorsk in the specialty “Gastroenterology for adults, children” by Dusipbekova AD and Zhanayeva AR. A round table was organized with students of the Medical College on the topic: “Energy drinks. Myths and reality.” At the meeting, residents gave a presentation on the history of energy drinks, their composition and effect on the body. Residents are trained in the discipline “Hepatology” with an academic mentor ass.professor Kaskabayeva A.Sh. and clinical mentor Aitmukhambetova A.M. shared practical experience in monitoring patients with problems with gastrointestinal tract damage caused by taking energy drinks and their complications. Literary data on the side effects of energy drinks on other organs and systems are also provided. Students were interested in the influence of energy drinks on the body, asked questions, gave examples and told their cases of using energy drinks. At the end of the conversation, a survey was conducted to identify students dependent on taking energy drinks and feedback, where the students were grateful for the information received.
