On 01.12. 2023 a round table dedicated to the fight against smoking, alcoholism and drug addiction among students was organized at the Department of Psychiatry and Narcology. The event is aimed at “Prevention of tobacco smoking, alcoholism, drug addiction. Formation of a healthy lifestyle”. The welcoming speech to the 5th year students of Semey Medical University was delivered by: Almagambetova A.A., Saidualiev D. N. In their speeches they highlighted the harmful factors for health: smoking, alcoholism and drug addiction. A presentation was presented to the attention of the students, which reflected the clinical picture and the consequences of nicotine, alcohol addiction, drug addiction. Currently, a lot of new drugs have appeared. Ways to combat bad habits were highlighted.

Students actively engaged in discussions, asked questions.  At the end of the meeting, the students noted that they received knowledge, a huge amount of positive emotions, they liked the sincere conversations, the presentation. This meeting helped students to become more confident and express themselves!
