On December 4, 2023, residents of the 2nd year of study of the specialty “Children and Adult Rheumatology” Merey Eshmukhamet and Zhanar Ilyas conducted sanitary and educational work with parents of children undergoing inpatient treatment in the pediatric department of the universal hospitalSMU NCJSC on the topic: “Measles in children. Measles prevention”. The material was presented in the form of an illustrative presentation, which outlined the clinical symptoms of measles, the characteristics of the rash, and its features. The issues of infection risks, severity and prevention of the disease were outlined. Associate Professor of the Department of Internal Diseases and Rheumatology Dr.TamaraRymbayeva supplemented possible complications in children with measles. During the conversation, the importance of preventive vaccinations for children was rasied, and the issues of measles prevention in children of interest to parents were analyzed.

Information and explanatory work of this kind is carried out in this pediatric department systematically due to the constant change of the patient population, which allows, with a deterioration in the epidemiological situation, to deploy sanitary work on a specific infection, taking into account proven forms of work.
