On December 22, 2023, a subject Olympiad in epidemiology was held among students of 3.4 courses of the specialty “Public Health”, organized by teachers of the Department of Public Health Beisengazina M.B. and associate professor Tokesheva Sh.M.

The Olympiad included two rounds: the first round was testing, according to the results of which 3 teams were formed (“Surveillance”, “Vaccine”, “Spore”). The second round of the Olympiad included 3 stages: 1 – blitz survey; 2 stage – assessment of practical skills and 3 stage – “CS-case-study”. The team members demonstrated a fairly high level of theoretical knowledge and skills in the implementation of epidemiological surveillance and the development of anti-epidemic measures, the ability to work in a team, as well as creative abilities.

The team “Surveillance” was recognized as the winner of the Olympiad, the 2nd place was taken by the team “Vaccine” and the 3rd place went to the team “Spore”.

All participants of the subject Olympiad received certificates, sweet treats, and the winners were awarded diplomas.
