On December 26, 2023, a teacher of the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics, G.D. Mukasheva, together with students of group 2508 of the specialty “general medicine” visited the museum of the University named after Manshuk Mametova.
The guide introduced the students to the history and activities of the medical university from its foundation to the present day. The museum houses an exhibition that presents the activities of departments and courses, faculties, libraries, student life, amateur clubs, sports achievements, as well as state awards of the university. The museum also stores copyright certificates for inventions and exhibits related to these inventions. Students saw a gallery of portraits of rectors, worthy graduates, scientists, professors and doctors of science of the university.
Students also visited the exhibition hall entitled “Manshuk Mametova – Hero of the Soviet Union.” According to the guide, this exhibition consists of five sections: “Manshuk’s childhood years”, “Manshuk’s youth”, “Manshuk’s feat”, “soldiers”. In this room, students saw preserved front-line letters, photographs, books, magazines, newspapers, soil from the hero’s grave, a Soviet soldier’s helmet and a shell casing from the gun with which she died.
Students learned a lot of interesting and educational things about the history of our university, as well as about the hero of the Soviet Union Manshuk Mametova – her biography and heroic deeds. They also received answers to their questions.[/vc_column_text]
