The State historical, cultural and literary memorial museum-reserve of Abai “Zhidebai-Borili” was organized by the decree of the Council of people’s commissars of the Kazakh SSR on April 1, 1940 on the eve of the celebration of the 95th anniversary of the poet’s birth and opened to visitors on October 16. This is the first literary memorial museum in the history of Kazakhstan. On the eve of the 150th anniversary of Abai, in 1990 the Abai literary and memorial museum was reorganized into the State historical, cultural and literary memorial museum-reserve of Abai.
On December 26, 2023, Assel Rishatovna Tukinova, a teacher of the department of epidemiology and biostatistics, made a unique trip together with the curatorial group 3554 of the specialty “General medicine” to the state historical, cultural, literary and memorial museum-reserve of Abai “Zhidebai-Borili”.
The museum-reserve of Abai “Zhidebai-Borili” is a monument of culture and history of Kazakhstan, dedicated to the great kazakh poet and thinker Abai Kunanbayev. In his works, Abai embodies the cultural and spiritual values of the people of Kazakhstan, being a symbol of national unity and identity. The students learned about his contribution to kazakh literature, his passionate love for his native language and culture. The exhibition included original books, manuscripts and photographs that allowed a deeper dive into the world of this outstanding thinker.
