The training of resident physicians in the speciality of Dermatovenerology, is a critical aspect of modern medical training. This speciality requires in-depth knowledge of general medicine and pathology, including their peculiarities in children. At the present time at the Department of Infectious Diseases, Dermatovenerology and Immunology of NAO “Semey Medical University” is trained 13 residents who work in medical institutions of Semey, Ust-Kamenogorsk and Pavlodar cities.

Training of residents provides integration of theory and practice. Academic tutor on theoretical component is candidate of medical sciences, acting professor of department Akhmetova Almira Kalikapasovna. The classes discuss modern aspects of diagnosis and treatment of skin diseases and STIs.

Practical work of the resident is carried out in skin and venereological departments of clinical bases of the university and includes medical reception, registration of accounting and reporting documentation under the guidance of experienced clinical mentors from practical health care.

The main clinical base for training residents in Semey city is the skin and venereological department of the City Hospital No. 1 of the Health Department of the Abay region. Clinical mentors are doctors-dermatovenerologists of the highest qualification category Mausunbaev K.S., Zhunusova J.D. Also residents are trained at the workplace in “Pavlodar regional polyclinic named after G.Sultanov” in the city of Semey. G. Sultanov” Pavlodar city, where the clinical mentor is Aitkulova V.R.

Residents studying in Ust-Kamenogorsk branch work under the guidance of experienced doctor Serikova D.S. on the basis of Municipal Hospital No. 4 of Ust-Kamenogorsk city. Ust-Kamenogorsk.

Medical institutions are equipped with all necessary modern equipment and apparatus for qualitative training of specialists. Clinical bases have a wide profile of departments, which allows residents to conduct a sufficient number of studies in patients with a variety of pathology.
