On December 29, 2023, training hours on the use of ABA therapy were held at the center for habilitation and rehabilitation of persons with disabilities in the Abai region. “AzbukaABA” Zuhra Izmailova-Kamar arrived from Canada. The reason for the visit was the holding of training hours and the exchange of experience. Under the guidance of the head of the Department of Pediatrics and Medical Rehabilitation named after D.M. Tusupova, CMS Alimbayeva A.R., assistants of the department Dauletzharova Zh.K., Nazarbekova M.S., resident rehabilitologists, as well as specialists of the center in the field of healthcare and pedagogy took part to replenish their knowledge. The executive secretary of the AMANAT party of the Abai region began the lecture with a welcoming speech Yskakov Seilbek and deputy of the Semey city Maslikhat, Chairman of the Standing Committee on Social Issues at the Semey city Maslikhat, Deputy head of the Amanat Party faction, Founder of Semey-Hiroshima Muldagalieva Sholpan Saparovna.
During the training, Zukhra Izmailova-Kamar She gave lectures on the following topics: “The application of the ABA principles as the key to improving the skills of employees of the education and social protection system and effective training of the population with special needs. The role of a specialist in maintaining inclusive education in the education and social protection system” and “An inconvenient student. How to help a child with problematic behavior at school. Work strategies: from simple to highly professional.”
At the end of the training, an exchange of views took place among the gathered specialists and answers were given to the questions that arose. This event helped the residents of the department to replenish their knowledge about the benefits of ABA therapy and its importance in practice.
