«900 days and nights of courage, perseverance and bravery»

On January 31, 2024, under the leadership of the senior lecturer of the military department, Lieutenant Colonel of the medical service Smailov N.S. and the head of the military department, Colonel Orynbasarov Sh.O., a curatorial hour was held for 3516 and 3617 groups – «900 days and nights of courage, perseverance and bravery» – dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the breakthrough of the Leningrad blockade.

Exactly 80 years ago, in January 1944, Leningrad celebrated its Victory. The victory of those who fought the enemy to defend their hometown, who survived all the hardships of the most severe blockade, who lived and fought despite cold and hunger, bombing and shelling.

During the event, students of 3516 and 3617 groups viewed photographs of everyday life in besieged Leningrad, learned about the tragic events of that time: the only 40 kilometer strip along Lake Ladoga, as it was called the “Road of Life”, connecting besieged Leningrad with the rest of the Soviet country. All those who did not manage to survive this difficult time spent a minute of silence. Our generation remembers and honors.
