Advanced training course “Scientific writing. Module 1″

Dear colleagues, teachers of universities, colleges and everyone who wants to learn how to write scientific articles!

Me, Nurtazina Alma Uakhitovna, Acting Professor of the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at SMU, NCJSC, invite you to the author’s course on scientific writing «Scientific writing. Module 1» in online format. This is an introductory course that will familiarize you with the basic principles of preparing a manuscript on scientific topics, how scientific articles are reviewed, and what points authors should pay attention to. This course will be useful for both novice scientists and those with experience in publishing in domestic and foreign scientific journals.

Answer: «Scientific publications in international peer-reviewed journals, mainly in English, indexed in the Web of Science and Scopus databases are a prerequisite for scientists at the present time and an indicator of the quality of the scientific potential of teaching staff».

Question: «Why do you recommend your course on scientific writing?»

Answer:

«1) I have sufficient theoretical training in epidemiology and biostatistics (University of London, UK, postgraduate diploma; Harvard medical School, USA, Course on Epidemiology, certificate with commendation; online courses on epidemiology, biostatistics, and scientific writing at Harvard University, Stanford University, USA); I also teach this course in the master’s degree and doctoral studies, being an acting professor of the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at the SMU, NCJSC;

2) I have prepared and published several articles in the international peer-reviewed journals Quartile 1-2 Web of Science and Scopus;

3) Since 2020, I have been a reviewer in the international peer-reviewed journals of the 1st-2nd quartile Web of Science and Scopus, as well as an assistant editor in one of these journals, in particular, Frontiers in Public Health.»
