On February 8, 2024, the Department of Psychiatry and Narcology of NJSC Semey Medical University, speaker, head teacher of the department Yermekbaev Askhat Uazirkhanuly, together with the Office of the Specialized Security Service of the Abay and East Kazakhstan regions, organized preventive work for employees of the specialized security service on the topic “Ludomania” of this event is the awareness of the employees of the Office of the Specialized Security Service of the Abay and East Kazakhstan regions about the problem of gambling addiction. During the preventive work, the conversation covered all aspects of the problem of gambling addiction among the population. The main causes, stages of development, preventive measures, negative consequences of gambling addiction were announced, given recommendations to employees on working with the public to increase awareness in society. The meeting participants actively took part, asked questions, shared opinions.
