Epilepsy is one of the most common neurological diseases worldwide, and every second Monday in February is dedicated to the International Epilepsy Day. This year, this day fell on February 12, and on this day, for the neurologists of Semey an online report on the diagnosis and treatment of epilepsia was organized by the head of the pediatric neurological department of the SMU University Hospital Arykova Zh.N. together with the Department of Neurology, Ophthalmology and Otorhinolaryngology. Assistant of the department Biniyazova A.A. highlighted the algorithms of work up of patients with epileptic seizures, diagnostic criteria and principles of treatment of epilepsy. At the end of the report, an exchange of views and discussion of common problems in the management of patients with epilepsy took place.
