Seminar on the prevention of measles, whooping cough and rubella

In 2024, on February 14, a seminar on measles prevention was held for medical workers at the emergency medical care station in the Abay region. Students of group 5205 of the Faculty of General Medicine, who are currently studying the discipline “Infectious Diseases in Adults,” reported on the epidemiological situation of measles and whooping cough in Kazakhstan. The speakers recalled that measles, whooping cough and rubella are contagious diseases with an airborne transmission mechanism.
The clinical picture of measles, whooping cough, rubella and their complications were examined in detail. The bachelors noted that timely and complete vaccination is the basis for ensuring individual and population immunity to measles, whooping cough and rubella.
