The meeting was devoted to the fact that recently the pharmacy has become the object of attention of drug addicts. The head of the department of narcological service of Semey, psychiatrist-narcologist P. G. Bryzhakhin, R.J. Baltakaeva, head of the polyclinic of the Department of Narcology, A.A. Almagambetova, spoke. Assistant of the Department of Psychiatry and Narcology. In their speech, they highlighted that drug addiction is a terrible, incurable disease that forms after the first use. The prohibition of many narcotic substances by law has led drug addicts to search for new and new means by which they can achieve the desired “high”. In modern pharmacology, there is a category of medicines known as pharmacy drugs. It includes only drugs sold legally through pharmacy chains. It is important to note that such drugs are allowed to be called drugs only when a person has become psychologically or physically dependent on them, using them without an appropriate doctor’s prescription and without a specific therapeutic purpose.
Today, you can easily purchase: lyrica, tetralgin, nurofen plus, terpincode, tropicamide. Due to the narcotic substance that is part of the cough remedy, terpincode, which is taken in large quantities, can cause euphoria, as well as rapid addiction. Many narcotic drugs are synthesized on the basis of several different drugs that can have a devastating effect on individual body systems, psychosis, kidney damage, respiratory disorders, vomiting, nausea, constipation; drying of the skin, peeling, the appearance of fungal diseases; formation of a stable depressive state. The drug affects the brain and inhibits all its functions, inhibition of cognitive abilities and degradation of personality. And when taken in high doses, a fatal outcome may occur.
At the end of the meeting, with the active participation of residents of the Department of Psychiatry and Narcology Bayanbekova S.B., Zeynullaev B.B., psychotherapeutic trainings were conducted to strengthen emotional stability, how to translate any negative into a positive here and now, increase competence in communication, improve the quality of life!
