On February 29, 2024 students of group 4403 of specialty “General Medicine” and the curator of the group Zhazykbaeva L. K. visited the movie theater Dastan in order to watch the movie “Roots”. The movie tells about the life and formation of Kazakh sniper Kasym, who heroically fought on the fields of the Second World War. Having lost his parents at an early age, Kasym finds himself in a boarding school. There he learns true friendship and becomes a good marksman. Growing up, he falls in love, goes through exploits and betrayal during the Great Patriotic War. The “thread” from the past, which connects him with the roots of his family and the values of his ancestors, helps him to preserve his humanity. This movie carries great value as a moral mouthpiece for the younger generation, and simply as a good artistic picture. The students appreciated the movie and were generally satisfied with the evening.
