Currently, extremism and terrorism are a real threat to national security. Extremism is an exceptionally great danger that can undermine any, even the most stable and prosperous society. One of the key areas in the fight against terrorist and extremist manifestations in the public environment is their prevention. It is especially important to carry out such preventive work among young people, since it is this environment that is one of the most vulnerable in terms of exposure to the negative influence of various antisocial groups.

February 29, 2024 at the Department of Biochemistry and Chemical Disciplines named after Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Tapbergenov S.O. under the leadership of the curator of the department Sydykova K.T. a curatorial hour was held on the topic: “Prevention of terrorism and extremism among young people.” The purpose of the conversation is to inform young people about measures to prevent religious extremism and terrorism, and to develop patriotic education.

Social and material insecurity of young people, psychological immaturity, significant dependence on other people’s opinions are the main reasons for the easy spread of radical ideas among young people. Preventing extremism and terrorism among young people is much more profitable than eliminating the consequences of such phenomena.
