As part of the University Improvement Project, on March 2, 2024, the Department of General Medical Practice of Semey NCJSC “SMU” conducted an on-site training on the topic of using communication skills when conducting vaccinations. The topic of vaccination remains relevant, as the number of unjustified refusals of the population from vaccinations does not decrease. The audience was represented by medical workers of primary health care in Ust-Kamenogorsk and rural outpatient clinics of East Kazakhstan region. In addition to general practitioners, the event included pediatricians and epidemiologists involved in vaccination issues. The purpose of the training is to improve communication skills when organizing safe immunization practices. As always, the training was held in an interactive manner, and various teaching methods were used. The attention of those present was focused on the problems that arise when carrying out preventive vaccinations for children. Positive feedback was received from training participants.
