In 2024, on March 6, a curatorial hour dedicated to International Women’s Day, March 8, was held at the advisory clinic of SMU, NCJCS. The organizers of the curatorial hour were the head of the department of infectious diseases, dermatovenereology and immunology Shaimardanov N.K. and assistant Smail E.M., GP interns of group 612 and supervisory group 5207 of the Faculty of General Medicine. Doctors, nurses and orderlies from the advisory clinic of SMU, NCJCS were invited to the curator’s hour.
During the curator’s hour, future doctors said that International Women’s Day on March 8 arose in connection with the struggle of women for their rights. On March 8, 1908, the first women’s rally was held in New York, where women demanded equal rights. At the suggestion of Clara Zetkin, since 1919 the holiday has been celebrated internationally.
The students presented gifts to the invited guests of the curatorial hour. At the end of the festive event, the doctors of the clinic of the NAO IUS congratulated the participants of the curatorial hour on the spring holiday, wished the future doctors to study well, master the practical skills of a doctor and worthily serve their chosen profession – medicine.
