On 18.03.2024, the Department of Psychiatry and Narcology of the National NCJSC of the MUS held a festive event “Nauryz is a public holiday in the Republic of Kazakhstan. National Dress Day”. The main purpose of the event is to foster patriotism among students: love for the Motherland, interethnic unity and harmony of the peoples of Kazakhstan, education of tolerance, to introduce the customs and traditions of the Kazakh people. To awaken and develop interest in folk art, its various genres, styles, and expand knowledge of folk folklore.

Participants: students of curatorial groups 5108 (curator Almagambetova A.A.), 5428 (curator Altybaeva G.K.), 5426 (Ashubaeva A.K. Department of Surgical Disciplines), students of the foreign faculty, residents of 1,2 years of study. Welcoming remarks to the 5th year students of the Semey Medical University, residents of the department were made by: head of the Department of Psychiatry and Narcology, Phd Moldagaliev T.M.,  Docent of the Department of Psychiatry and Narcology, c.m.s Ospanova N.N.,   curator of the 5108 group Almagambetova A.A. In their speech, they highlighted that “Nauryznama” – one of the main holidays of Nauryz Meiram in Kazakhstan will allow to root national traditions and customs. Historically, the celebration of Nauryz lasted 10 days. He was called Nauryznama. This is stated in the works of great philosophical writers – Mahmud Kashgari, Mashhur Zhusup Kopeyuly, Abai Kunanbayuly, Mukhtar Auezov.

March 18 – “Ulttyk kiim kuni” – National Dress Day, aimed at popularizing our national clothes.

Students sang songs, danced, demonstrated national clothes, and wrestling was held. Students of the foreign faculty took an active part in the celebration of “Nauryz Meiram”.
