Nauryz holiday is one of the most ancient holidays on earth. It has been celebrated for more than five thousand years as a celebration of spring renewal, unity, peace and goodness.  Nauryz in Kazakhstan symbolizes fertility, friendship and love. The traditions of celebrating Nauryz are aimed at revealing the best human qualities – openness, cordiality, responsiveness and mercy.

On March 14, the decade of Nauryznam started, which will last until March 23. Every day of the decade has its own meaning. March 16 is the third day of the decade of Nauryznam, which is dedicated to the promotion of culture, art and national values. On this day, the regional universal library named after Abai hosted a festive event “Welcome to Nauryz” for students and teachers of the foreign branch of the NAO “MUS”. Representatives of the Department of Simulation and Educational Technologies, teachers  Van O.T., Ykybaeva N.B. and students of the 2,3 course. The library specialists congratulated the guests of this event on the upcoming Nauryz holiday. The festive event was saturated with cultural and national traditions, an overview of the exhibition “Kazakh national customs and traditions”, the quiz “Nauryz”, the games “Nauryz kozhe”, “Words of Nauryz”, “Wishes”, “Kazakh national dance “Kara Zhorga” was presented. The atmosphere of peace, joy and kindness reigned in the hall. The students learned a lot of interesting and informative things, participated in the event with great pleasure, performed a flash mob “Kara Zhorga”, tasted delicious treats of the national dastarkhan. Active participants of the games were awarded with gifts. At the end of the event, a joint photo was taken as a keepsake. The students and teachers of the foreign department of the  NCJSC “SMU” thanked the organizers of the festive event for their great hospitality.
