On 19 March 2024, within the framework of scientific gastro school of the Department of Internal Medicine and Rheumatology of SMU, a round table was held together with doctors of gastroenterology and doctors of general practice of Semey city, dedicated to the experience of implementation of the biological drug Entivio for the treatment of patients with inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD) in the gastroenterology department of UG SMU. The meeting was attended by members of gastro school associate professors Muzdubaeva Zh.E., Shakhanova A.T. Moderators and speakers of the round table were Professor Zhumadilova Z.K. and head of gastro department Zhylkybaeva K.Sh.

The issues of importance of scientific medical research conducted at the local level were touched upon. About that own experience of introduction of biological preparation Entivio has brought us closer to global researches carried out for introduction of this preparation on the world market. The results of these studies, which testify to the high clinical, biochemical and endoscopic efficacy of this drug, its low immunogenicity, high safety among many biological preparations, were presented. All were encouraged by the news about the introduction of the subcutaneous form of Entivio in the RK, which will allow IBD`s patients to receive this drug in outpatient settings.

New trends in monitoring the dynamics of the course of IBD, an algorithm for the management of patients with IBD were discussed. After discussions and exchange of opinions, all participants of the round table came to a common conclusion: modern trends in the management of patients with IBD should be included in the daily clinical practice of gastroenterologists.
