Celebrating Nauryz with sponsored groups

At the SMU, in commemoration of the ten-day period of “Nauryznama” at the Department of Dental Disciplines and Maxillary Surgery, on March 18, Associate Professor N.B. Khaidarova. Together with students 503 and mentoring groups 608, an event was held: “National Dress Day”. A conversation was held with students on the topic of national clothing. If earlier wearing traditional clothing seemed archaic, now it is a trend. At the national Kurultai, which was held in Atyrau, President Tokaev K.K. supported the initiative to wear national costumes in educational institutions of Kazakhstan. Kazakh culture is well revealed in national clothing. The nomadic lifestyle, steppe climate and religious beliefs influenced the development of traditional Kazakh costume. Also, the quality of clothing and its individual elements made it possible to find out the social status of a Kazakh and his belonging to a separate clan or clan. Despite all the practicality of Kazakh clothing, its decoration with various patterns, precious stones, or expensive furs played an important role. At the same time, in order to emphasize their status and look more elegant, men and women wore wide belts with gold or silver buckles and other decorative elements. All students and interns at the celebration of the Nauryz Meiramy holiday were in national clothes at the national dastarkhan. The celebration dedicated to the day of national clothing was controversial and aroused great interest among students in the traditions and customs of our people.
