On March 15, 2024, under the leadership of the head of the cycle – teacher, Lieutenant Colonel of the medical service of the reserve Smailov N.S., an educational hour was held with students of the 3404 group at the military department of the NAO Semey Medical University, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the veteran of the Great Patriotic War, Hero of the Soviet Union, former First Minister of Defense of independent Kazakhstan, army general Sagadat Nurmagambetov.

Sagadat Kozhakhmetovich Nurmagambetov is a Soviet and Kazakhstani military commander, the first Minister of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Hero of the Soviet Union, People’s Hero of Kazakhstan, General of the Army of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

We got acquainted with the biography of S.Nurmagambetov, who is to this day an example of indomitable will, courage and bravery.

This is a man of legend, whose life has encompassed an entire epoch – the most brutal war of the twentieth century, the collapse of the once powerful Soviet Union, the birth of a young sovereign Kazakhstan, the formation of our national army.

His words were said: «We won the war through friendship, we never treated each other badly, despite our titles, nationality, age. Help each other and then there will be a peaceful blue sky above us!» – we will remember these words of the Hero for the rest of our lives.

The rich life path of the hero, the crystal clear name will always be a shining example for us, the younger generation.
