On March 28, 2024, for the International Epilepsy Awareness Day, a master class on epilepsy issues and first aid for seizures was held by the 3rd and 5th year students of the foreign department under the guidance of the Department of Neurology, Ophthalmology and Otorhinolaryngology for the 1st-3rd year students. Presentations were given on epilepsy, classification of epileptic seizures and other paroxysmal conditions with disturbance of consciousness and awareness. Then, group training of students in first aid for paroxysmal disturbances of consciousness (epileptic seizures, syncope, psychogenic attacks) was conducted. In addition, the department staff prepared booklets with necessary information on the topic for all the attendees. Students, as well, took an active role in illustrating the problem by drawing posters about important epilepsy issues
