According to WHO, more than 10 million children die before the age of five every year, most of these deaths are caused by only five preventable and treatable conditions: pneumonia, diarrhea, malaria, measles, and malnutrition. IVBDV is an integrated approach to child health protection aimed at achieving an overall satisfactory state of health of the child as a whole. Integrated management of childhood illness is a strategy developed by the World Health Organization, based on evidence–based medicine, which, when applied correctly, reduces morbidity, mortality and disability, as well as improves the physical and mental development of children under 5 years of age. The strategy – “Integrated management of childhood diseases”, is based on a targeted assessment of the condition of a sick child. It is very important for general practitioners to know and be able to apply in their work the stages of triage and urgent signs in children from 0 to 5 years old. A meeting of the school of preventive Medicine at the Semey OVP department was devoted to this topic, which was organized and conducted by interns of the 601 Pediatricians group under the leadership of the head of the department, Professor A.A. Dyusupova, teachers O.A. Yurkovskaya, T.M. Belyaeva, G.T. Kamasheva, R.I. Fayzova, T.I. Terekhova. The information aroused great interest the audience. The discussion ended with a quiz with incentive prizes.
