On April 4, as part of a scientific student project of the Department of Biochemistry and Chemical Disciplines on the problem of diabetes mellitus, first-year student Kuanashkanova Amina, group 1121, specialty “Medicine”, carried out information and preventive work with patients examined at the “Polyclinic No. 7 of the city of Semey” of the regional health department Abay. The purpose of the information and preventive work was to familiarize people with early signs and preventive methods of combating diabetes. Diabetes incidence statistics are growing every year. In addition, the number of insulin dependent people among the very young generation is growing. Information leaflets were distributed to the patients; the material presented aroused interest among the subjects. Kuanashkanova Amina answered all questions.
