In the period from 04/15/24 to 04/27/24, our university hosts an advanced training course “Assessment and examination in a medical university.” The course is taught by Saule Keneskhanovna Kozhanova, Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor, Head of the Department of Anatomy, Histology and Topographic Anatomy named after Professor N.A.Khlopov. The subject of the course is devoted to the analysis of such topics as determining assessment methods in accordance with the taxonomy of educational goals and cognitive level according to Bloom’s taxonomy, psychometric assessment and statistical processing of assessment results. The theoretical course accompanied by practical work on analyzing test items to identify design defects, to determine the compliance of test items with the stated cognitive level, to conduct a psychometric analysis of the results of the latest formative assessment in disciplines with analysis of indicators such as difficulty coefficient, discrimination index and distractor analysis. The second part of the course is devoted to an analysis of assessment methods in the psychomotor and affective domains, rules of conduct and comparative characteristics of checklists.
