On April 19, 2024, an integrated interdisciplinary Olympiad in the discipline “Children’s diseases in the clinic” was held at the university hospital among 4th-year students in the specialty “General Medicine.” The organizers of this event were: staff of the Department of Propaedeutics of Children’s Diseases and the Department of Traumatology and Pediatric Surgery. The Olympiad was held in three languages and consisted of four stages: greeting, solving a case, demonstrating practical skills and captain competition.

The head of the Department of Propaedeutics of Children’s Diseases, Toktabaeva B.Zh., delivered a welcoming speech and assistant of the Department of Traumatology and Pediatric Surgery Alikenov K.K.

Also present were guests from the dean’s office: Aigul Bakhtybekovna Dyusenbaeva, vise dean of the 4th year of the “General Medicine” program.

According to the results of the Olympiad, the team “L’AVICENNA” (group 4127) won 1st place. 2nd place – team “INVICTUS” (group 4102); 3rd place – teams “Sharp Scalpels” (group 4101) and “INDIAN WALE” (428 group of foreign students).

The closing speech was made by M.T. Aubakirov, candidate of medical sciences, assistant of the Department of Traumatology and Pediatric Surgery and He presented diplomas and memorable prizes to the winners and prize-winners of the Olympiad.
