In 2024, On April 19, in order to increase the effectiveness of preventive measures against tick-borne infections during the 2024 epidemic season, a seminar on the prevention of tick-borne encephalitis and tick-borne typhus was held at the Auezov substation of ambulance and emergency medical care.
On the territory of East Kazakhstan region, bordering our region, natural foci of tick-borne encephalitis are Glubokovsky, Zaisansky, Zyryanovsky, Katon-Karagaisky, Kokpektinsky (Samara region), Ulansky, Shemonaikha districts, the outskirts of the cities of Ridder and Ust-Kamenogorsk.
The speakers of the seminar, interns of GP 601 group, reported on the epidemiology, clinical picture, diagnosis of tick-borne encephalitis and tick-borne typhus, focusing on specific and nonspecific prevention of tick-borne encephalitis.
