17.04.24y. At the Department of Internal Medicine and Rheumatology, a meeting was held with interns on career guidance issues. The person in charge of the educational program 7R01151 “Nephrology for adults, children,” assistant Botabaeva Ainur Serikzhanovna, introduced the students to the goals, objectives and disciplines of the program.
Currently, 8 residents of the 1st year and 9 residents of the 2nd year of study are studying at the department. During the program, residents study issues of private nephrology in adults and children, the basics of renal replacement therapy, the principles of transplantation and immunocorrection. The medical work of residents takes place under the guidance of clinical mentors in specialized hospitals in Semey, Ust-Kamenogorsk and Pavlodar cities. Simultaneously with educational and clinical work, students are engaged in scientific research activities. Residents, under the guidance of an academic mentor, publish theses and articles and speak at scientific and practical conferences. As part of educational work, they engage in volunteering.
At the end of the conversation, the interns actively asked questions and were interested in priority areas in nephrology. During the consultation, students received answers to all questions and were invited to join the ranks of young nephrologists.
