On April 30, 2024, an open day was held at the Department of Neurology, Ophthalmology and Otorhinolaryngology for interns wishing to enroll in residency in the specialties “Neurology (adult, pediatric)”. During the event, the issues of the requirements of the educational program in the specialty were considered: the disciplines and the volume of practical skills studied and the list of diseases of the nervous system, requirements for residents, clinical bases.

Future residents have the opportunity to study at the clinical bases of Semey, Pavlodar, and Ust-Kamenogorsk in specialized departments (neurological, stroke centers, functional diagnostics and imaging). The training is conducted under the guidance of clinical mentors, as well as experienced teachers of the department.

The acquired knowledge, skills and abilities, based on the principle of a patient-centered approach, will allow graduates of the residency to work professionally both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team in primary health care, specialized hospital departments and, if necessary, in emergency departments, intensive care, rehabilitation.
