Unity Day of the People of Kazakhstan is an official public holiday. 1st May is called “Unity Day” because one of the main priorities of the country’s domestic policy has become the preservation of interreligious and interethnic unity of the people of the Republic of Kazakhstan. This day unites people of different nationalities who live in the country and emphasizes the importance of free and respectful communication between people, regardless of differences in cultures, languages and traditions. Traditionally, the first day of May is not a family event, but a social event. Mass celebrations, festivals and contests are held in the cities, which are designed to demonstrate the uniqueness of different ethnic groups.

In this regard, on 30th May at the Department of Hospital Surgery, Anesthesiology and Intensive Care, interns of the 618 group of GP faculty held a single open lesson on the topic: “1st May is the Day of Unity of the Peoples of Kazakhstan.” The main indicator of a society’s progress has always been its cultural achievements. A special attitude to the native land, its culture, customs, traditions is considered the most important signs of patriotism. During the free lesson, the spirit of true patriotism and love for homeland was repeatedly discussed. The original footage of the video interviews and presentation slides were accompanied by bright colors presented to the attention of colleagues.

The head of the Department of Hospital Surgery, Anesthesiology and Reanimatology, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Aimagambetov Meirbek Zhaksybekovich delivered a congratulatory speech – “I congratulate all interns and residents with Unity Day of the People of Kazakhstan! We wish everyone cohesion and unity, goodness and prosperity, sun in the sky, peace, abundance for every home, health and success. On the spring holiday of 1st May in Kazakhstan, the earth blooms, the sun shines brightly, and the steppe plays merrily with forbs. May there also be joy in the soul of each of you.”
