On 26 April on the organisation of teachers of the department of general disciplines of NCJSC “Medical University of Semey” was held a meeting of students of 1 and 2 courses of specialties “General Medicine” and “Dentistry” with representatives of the regional department of religion.  At the meeting were present: head of the Department of Religious Affairs – Iskakov Seilbek Abyurovich, the representative of the Imam – Mukanov Askar Abitayuly, a representative of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kazakhstan, a specialist of the department “Uagyz-nasihat” Sayfullin Duman Nadiruly, as well as theologian Botakhanov Makhsat Dyusenbekovich. With the purpose of increase of literacy of students in questions of religious enlightenment the seminar on a theme: “Importance to beware of destructive religious currents for reception of correct education” has been spent.

During the meeting, students were familiarised with religious literacy, features of destructive religious movements and prevention of extremist threats, legal documents related to religious beliefs, lecturers shared a number of necessary information and presented video presentations. Students also asked their questions and received necessary answers.
