On May 15, 2024 in the Regional Center of Phthisiopulmonology of the Health Department of the Abay region under the guidance of the head of the Department of Pediatric Infectious Diseases I.M. Efendiyev held a seminar for doctors – pediatric infectious diseases, infectious diseases doctors and GP medical institutions of the Abay region, interns 6 course GP and resident infectious diseases on the topic “Tick-borne encephalitis. Tick-borne typhus”. There were 22 participants offline and 53 participants online.

The opening speech was made by the head of the department of pediatric infectious diseases I.M. Efendiyev. 

Head of the department A.A. Mansurova presented a report on “Tick-borne encephalitis. Tick-borne typhus. Clinical and laboratory diagnostics, therapy, prevention”. 

At the end of the seminar the questions of the listeners were answered by the Head of the Department of Pediatric Infectious Diseases I.M. Efendiyev. In his final speech, Imdat Musaevich emphasized the importance of timely diagnosis and specific therapy of tick-borne encephalitis for the prevention of adverse outcomes and severe residual effects.
