May 6, 2024 doctors-interns 711 GPO and interns-pediatricians 701 group on the basis of the Department of Pediatrics and Medical Rehabilitation named after Tusupova D.M. under the guidance of teachers of the department Bektar J.S., Imanmadieva D.M., Kapanova A.A. at the clinical base of the University Hospital Nao “Medical University Semey” was held an event on the theme “The Day of Defender of the Fatherland and Victory Day is accompanied by events held as part of the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the war hero, the first Minister of Defense S. Nurmagambetov and Halyk Kaharmana R. Koshkarbaev.”

Defender of the Fatherland Day is a public holiday in Kazakhstan. It is celebrated annually on May 7. In May Kazakhstan celebrates one more special holiday – Victory Day.
The doctors-interns prepared presentations that presented the feats of the Kazakh people in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945.
On this day pay tribute to the Soviet soldiers and civilians who died in the terrible war years.Also, presented materials about the exploits of war heroes: the First Minister of Defense S. Nurmagambetov and Halyk Kaharmana R. Koshkarbaev.
All the war Sagadat Nurmagambetov was on the front line, where the battalion led by him, showed courage and bravery in battles, came out victorious from heavy battles.
As it is known, Rakhimzhan Koshkarbayev one of the first fighters hoisted the Red Banner on Reichstag. The title “Halyk Kaharmany” was awarded to him posthumously on May 7, 1999.
