Currently, 56 residents are studying at the Department of Radiology in the 2023-2024 academic year in residency in the specialty “Radiology”, 37 of them have 1 year of study: in Semey – 12, Pavlodar-12, Ust-Kamenogorsk-13. 19 residents have 2 years of study: in Ust-Kamenogorsk – 12 residents, in Semey -7. Residents work on the basis of Semey: BSMP, University Hospital, TSYAMIO, in Ust-Kamenogorsk: East Kazakhstan Regional Oncological Dispensary, East Kazakhstan Regional Hospital. In the city of Pavlodar: Pavlodar Regional Hospital. Pavlodar regional oncological dispensary.
Clinical mentors by personal example give the development of positive qualities of residents, promote the development of professional horizons. They also transfer their knowledge and experience to residents, help and advise the resident in familiarizing himself with his official duties, the main directions of his activities, ensure the study of regulatory legal acts, train resident radiologists in practical skills, identify and jointly eliminate errors in clinical work. Clinical mentors provide the ability for residents to develop a responsible attitude in the performance of their professional duties. The peculiarity of our specialty is the ability to rotate through clinical databases, exchange information, interact in a team, and work together. For a high-quality education of a young specialist, devices with modern equipment are demonstrated and taught to work on them. Resident doctors not only conduct practical work, but also conduct and participate in seminars.
