On 05/23/2024, the Department of Psychiatry and Narcology took an active part in the seminar, the theme of the event: “Bullying, ludomania and addictive disorders as suicidal risk factors”.

Participants: “Regional Center for Mental health” of the region of Abai, psychologists of PHC.

The purpose of the meeting: to show the harmful effects of gambling, to increase the level of knowledge on the problem of gambling addiction.

Welcoming remarks on the topic “Non-chemical addictions and ludomania” were made by: head of the Department of Psychiatry and Narcology of the “SMU”, PhD Moldagaliev T.M., assistant of the department Almagambetova A.A., as well as residents of the department Golub E.M., Bayanbekova S.B. In their speeches, they highlighted the problem of non-chemical addictions, ludomania, as well as its features of harm in society, causes, signs of addiction, consequences, ways to overcome, methods of combating gambling addiction, prevention of gambling addiction and recommendations for specialists who are in direct contact with patients.
