On May 24, 2024, a meeting of students of the curatorial groups of the Department of Molecular Biology and Medical Genetics named after Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan T.K. Raissov with Acting Professor of the Department, Associate Professor, Candidate of Medical Sciences of the Department of Physiological Disciplines named after Honored Scientist of the Republic of Kazakhstan T.A.Nazarova Urazalina N.M., and a graduate of our university, an obstetrician – gynecologist Myktybekova S.S. The meeting was attended by curatorial groups 1217, 1219, 1220, 1230, 1231, 1233 OP “Medicine” and “Pediatrics”.

Urazalina N.M. presented slides about her biography, told the meeting participants about her choice of a future profession, which led to the decision to enroll in a medical school, about university studies, hobbies, about student life, friendship and mutual assistance of fellow students, as well as about the friendly, sympathetic attitude of teachers to students. Obstetrician–gynecologist Myktybekova S.Sh. told the students about methods of contraception (hormonal, intrauterine, barrier, emergency contraception, etc.), about puberty, about female and male reproductive systems. She focused on the effectiveness, indications and contraindications of each method, and showed the formula for the Pearl index.

The students liked the topic of the conversation very much, at the end of the meeting, the doctors answered anonymous questions that had been asked by the students beforehand.  Nailya Muratkhanovna and Simbat Shaikhislamovna wished the students success in their studies and patience. I think that after this meeting, all students will increase their interest in studying and these specialties.
