On 23-25 May 2024, Nazarbayev University in Astana hosted the ‘’ among students of higher education institutions. More than 50 people participated in the debates organized by the US Embassy. The debate consisted of eight rounds and was divided into four groups: north, south, west and east. Semey Medical University was represented by Aidos Zhumabekov and Elizaveta Grishenkova, students of General Medicine speciality, accompanied by Balzhan Kolenova, specialist of the Strategic Development and International Cooperation Office, and Spencer Hazeslip, a native-speaker teacher. The jury included U.S. Ambassador to Kazakhstan Daniel N. Rosenblum and Deputy Chairman of the Board of JSC «Center for International Programs» Arman Ashkin. According to the results of the event, our students won second place.
