In pursuance of the order of the Vice-Minister of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan № 252 from 22.04.2024 “On assigning organizations of higher and postgraduate education to the regions and the training of general practitioners” staff of the Department of Children’s Infectious Diseases with the support of the clinical department and digital technology department of the Medical University of Semey in the period from 27 May this year held training seminars for medical workers of medical institutions of the Abay region on the topics «Particularly dangerous infections. Plague». The training was held in a mixed format. A total of 30 trainees participated.

The opening speech was made by the head of the Department of pediatric infectious diseases, chief freelance infectious disease specialist of children’s region Abay, Candidate of Medical Sciences Efendiyev I.M.

Assistant of the Department of Pediatric Infectious Diseases, Candidate of Medical Sciences Mansurova A.A. presented a report on “Plague”. The lecturer emphasized the issues of clinic, differential diagnosis, therapy and prevention of this disease.

The trainees were shown a training video “Tactics of medical workers in identifying a patient with suspected plague”. The film was presented by Dmitrovskiy A.M., Dr.M.Sc.,Professor, Chief Researcher of Training Department of the National Scientific Center for Extremely Dangerous Infections, Almaty.

In conclusion, the questions of the students were answered by the Head of the Department of Pediatric Infectious Diseases Efendiyev I.M.
