On May 27, 2024, the head of the Department of Propaedeutics of Childhood Diseases, Toktabaeva B.Zh., conducted a seminar on the topic: Endocardial Fibroelastosis in Children. The seminar was attended by pediatricians from “Venera” hospital, pediatricians from the Borodulikha district, and faculty members. This disease is rare and has an unfavorable prognosis. The incidence of fibroelastosis is 1 in 70,000 newborns. Toktabaeva B.Zh. discussed modern theories of the development of this disease, clinical variants of its course, and criteria for early diagnosis. She presented a real clinical case of a child with endocardial fibroelastosis and emphasized the need to improve prenatal diagnosis of fetal pathology. Only early diagnosis makes it possible to determine obstetric management tactics for pregnant women and helps reduce neonatal mortality. The seminar participants received a lotof useful information for their work.
