Excursion to the historical, cultural and literary memorial reserve-museum of Abay

May 25, 2024 Assistant of the Department of Therapy Ryskenova A.E. together with students of the curatorial group 442 of the foreign department, they visited the state historical, cultural and literary and memorial reserve-museum of Abai “Zhidebay-Borili”. The museum was founded in 1940. Currently, it unites 8 museums dedicated to famous personalities of the Kazakh people in the city of Semey, Abay and Urjar districts of the Abay region and is a recognized spiritual center, the pride of the people.
The museum’s holdings include more than 21 thousand exhibits; the museum’s scientific library stores more than 16 thousand publications. The most valuable and important of them are presented in the museum’s exhibitions.
On the day of visiting the museum, the students were lucky enough to meet fellow Indian Jaywant Singh Batheja, who is a teacher of Russian language and literature in Delhi. Jaywant Singh Bateja personally accompanied the son of Mukhtar Omarkhanuly Auezov during his trip to India.
The students were very pleased with the time they spent and learned a lot about Kazakh culture and the history of the development of Kazakh literature.
